Less than a mile from Coed-y-Paen, Llandegfedd Reservoir (now known as Llandegfedd Lake) is a Site of Special Scientific Interest. The 434 acre site has two miles of footpaths around the reservoir for walking, angling and sailing. Picnics can be enjoyed as well as waymarked walks across permissive (ie not public) footpaths during the summer months. A Visitor Centre, designed by award winning architects, contains a stylish cafe and display area with panoramic views of the reservoir and watersports activities.
