On Sunday 26 May a thoroughly enjoyable morning was spent in the churchyard with enthusiastic 3year olds (complete with their bug collecting kits) to 80+ years working alongside each other. The bug hotel was a big hit with the children.
The data from Coed y Paen has been uploaded onto the OPAL website and has contributed to the national statistics concerning invertebrates. On social media Outdoor Learning Wales(OLW) commented positively about our actions, Looks great and helps us build evidence about nature – Good work! The aim of OLW is to increase understanding and sustainable use of nature in Wales.
