On the evening of 31 March, Welsh Water invited local residents to an informal viewing of the Visitor Centre and Water Sports Centre. In the fantastic restaurant, with splendid views to the Peter Perrynorth and west, Peter Perry (Chief Operating Officer, Dyr Cymru) expressed his pride in the new flagship facility. He explained that as Dyr Cymru is a non-profit making organisation, all profits from any of the facilities will be ploughed back into the business. Everyone was excited at the new amenity, both the facilities for eating, angling, boating etc, and the circular trail which, by way of permissive paths across Dyr Cymru land, links with public footpaths and roads on the north and west sides.

Guests divided into 4 groups for a tour of the watersports centre with its changing facilities and first floor function room which will be available for private hire. Like the restaurant, it has wall to (vaulted) ceiling glass and a wraparound balcony for fab views! Then it was back to the restaurant for drinks and canapes provided by the catering staff under the corporate guidance of Graeme Millar and local manager Lillian Fallon.
